Welcome to Episode 8 of our Homemade Camper Build! In this episode, we make major progress protecting and finishing our DIY camper build as we fiberglass the seams and edges and complete the bottom of our camper.
We start by sanding all of the areas where fiberglass will be applied, then fiberglass all of the seams and edges of the camper body. Once that work is complete, we flip the entire camper body over so we can begin working on the bottom.
On the bottom of our homemade camper, we countersink the screw heads and fill them with wood putty before trimming the edges with a router. We then epoxy and fiberglass the seams on the bottom of the camper, creating a strong, sealed surface designed to protect the plywood from moisture.
